CHELSEA boss Frank Lampard has rejected comparisons between misfiring striker Timo Werner and Fernando Torres.
Blues frontman Werner, a £53million summer signing from RB Leipzig, has not scored in his last ten Premier League games.

But Lampard has insisted any comparisons to Chelsea’s £50m flop Torres is premature.
He said: “All players will experience it in their career. All eyes are on and it becomes magnified. I need to work with him on it.
“I’m not comparing him to anybody. Everybody is different, Torres had difficult times here but won the Champions League.
“All we need to do is create the best environment to get the best out of Timo.
“You must repeat, keep working and he needs to keep his head down and focus, I need to give him positivity.”

Werner was dropped to the bench for Saturday’s clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
After he was introduced in the 75th minute, he missed yet another clear chance to score and end his goal drought.
Torres – who moved to Chelsea from Liverpool 10 years ago this month – struggled to replicate his stunning form for the Reds at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard bagged just 45 times in 172 appearances for the Blues but was instrumental in the club’s sole Champions League triumph in 2012.
Werner, meanwhile, scored 34 goals in 45 games for RB Leipzig last season before he joined Chelsea.
But he has managed a total of just four top-flight goals in 18 appearances this term and is without a Prem strike since November.
