THAT’S ALL FROM CHELSEA
Chelsea destroyed Juventus with a score of 4-0 at Stamford Bridge and punched their ticket to the Champions League’s Last 16.
The Blues opened the scoring after just 25 minutes from a corner-kick down the left when Antonio Rudiger chested the ball down for Trevoh Chalobah, who beat Wojciech Szczesny with a stunning shot from close range.
The west Londoners doubled their lead on 56 minutes when Reece James picked up Ben Chilwell’s deflected cross from the left and beat Szczesny with an incredible finish from a tight angle.
Callum Hudson-Odoi sealed Chelsea’s big win just two minutes later when Ruben Loftus-Cheek set him up in front of Juve’s goal.
The icing on the cake came in the fifth minute of stoppage time as Weston McKennie failed to clear James’ ball from midfield and that allowed Hakim Ziyech to deliver a low cross from the left to the returning Timo Werner, who hit the back of the net with ease.
But it wasn’t all good news for Thomas Tuchel as he lost N’Golo Kante and Chilwell to a knee injury at each half.
That’s all from us here at SunSport, have a lovely night!
BONUCCI REACTS
Juventus captain Leonardo Bonucci said he and his team-mates need to learn from tonight’s heavy defeat to Chelsea.
Bonucci told Sky Sport Italia: “It’s a heavy defeat, certainly, we have to take the lesson that against these teams you must always go at 1,000km/h, because the moment you slow it down, they punish you.
“We tried in the second half to close down their moves down the flanks, but we weren’t focused enough on those two balls they put in from wide.
“It is important we learn the lessons from this game, which is that against these teams, you cannot lower the intensity or concentration for a moment.
“We conceded the first goal from a corner, it might’ve been handball. We should’ve controlled it better in the second half, as they caused us so many problems.
“We need to take the right lessons from this game and be ready to take it going forward. You have to be 100 per cent physically and psychologically for every moment in these games, otherwise you will be punished”
TUCHEL REACTS
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel revealed that Ben Chilwell and N’Golo Kante hurt their knee during the match but more information will be revealed tomorrow.
Tuchel told BT Sport: “He [Chilwell] has a sharp pain in his knee. N’Golo has twisted his knee a little bit. We can tell you tomorrow more. It’s two things that are very sad. Let’s hope for the best.
“It was a very good performance. We wanted to stay patient but we didn’t want to fall asleep – that was the challenge. The team did very well. It’s so tough to score goals and create chances but we scored and created so much. Full credit, it was an amazing performance and a fantastic result.
“Defence is what counts isn’t written over the managers name on my office. It’s a huge part of the game sometimes defence is the best way to get control of games and to protect us against counter-attacks. This is what we do very well. I feel we do the invisible and unthankful work really well. It’s very disciplined. When we have to defend, we will dig in. With a bit of luck and goalkeeping it’s possible”

The Blues have the same points as Juve and a win at Zenit St Petersburg would seal first place for Thomas Tuchel’s men.
If the west Londoners fail to beat Zenit then their result needs to best the Bianconeri’s, who take on Malmo in their last match of the group stage
