TIMO WERNER and Mason Mount were the Chelsea heroes as Thomas Tuchel’s men saw off Real Madrid in their Champions League semi-final.
The Blues dominated and should arguably have won by more, with Werner’s first-half header and Mount’s late tap-in setting up an all-Premier League final.
- Final score: Chelsea 2-0 Real Madrid (3-1 agg).

GOODBYE
It’s the end of another glorious night at Stamford Bridge.
Having led his team to one final – the FA Cup – Thomas Tuchel now has Chelsea preparing for another, and it’s the biggest of the lot: the Champions League. He’s only been in the job 99 days.
The Blues will now face Manchester City in Istanbul on May 29 as the Premier League takes over Turkey.
If you’re too excited to sleep at the prospect, why not take in Dave Kidd’s match report for more on how Chelsea dismantled Real Madrid over two legs.
Thanks for reading, and goodnight.
AN ENGLISH AFFAIR
So, it will be Premier League against Premier League on May 29 when Manchester City and Chelsea meet in the final of the Champions League.
It will be the third all-English Champions League final following Manchester United’s victory over Chelsea in 2008, and Liverpool’s success against Totttenham two years ago.
HAZARD HAVING A LAUGH
There were several glum faces in the Real Madrid ranks at the final whistle, but Eden Hazard wasn’t among them.
Instead, the former Chelsea man was caught on camera laughing and messing around with Kurt Zouma.
Blues fans will love the foottage, but it’s unlikely to endear him to the Madrid faithful who are yet. to see his best form.
THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT
Relive the moment in stoppage time when Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi – three youngsters who came through the Chelsea academy together – realised they were off to the Champions League final.
ONE OF THEIR OWN
Mason Mount capped a sensational season by netting the goal that sealed Chelsea’s place in the Champions League final.
Having made his 100th appearance for the senior side in the first leg, it’s been some story for a young man who has been at Stamford Bridge for 15 years.
Just don’t mention that he’s a boyhood Portsmouth fan.
TUCHEL REACTION
Thomas Tuchel was quick to praise his players for their performance at full time, believing that they showed both sides to their game in soaking up Real Madrid pressure early on before threatening goals on the break.
We deserved to win. The first half was difficult because they had a lot of ball possession and made us suffer. But every play from us was dangerous on the counter-attack, and we never lost the hunger or desire to defend. In the second half, there was an ever better structure and we could have scored so much more. Now is not a time for criticism though so congratulations to the team.

ED OF THE PACK
Edouard Mendy had little to do in the second half at Stamford Bridge, but certainly played his role in the first period with two fabulous saves to deny Karim Benzema.
The Senegalese goalkeeper has now kept more clean sheets in a Champions League campaign than any other stopper from an English club.
SINGING THE BLUES
The final whistle sparked celebrations among the Chelsea players on the pitch, and the partying has continued into the dressing room.
TWO-TIME TUCHEL
Having reached the Champions League final with Paris Saint-Germain last season, Thomas Tuchel will be back at the competition’s showpiece this year in charge of Chelsea.
He’ll be hoping for a different conclusion this time around.
MOUNT JOY
Mason Mount sealed Chelsea’s place in the Champions League Final with his late goal, and has just given his immediate reaction to the news at the the full time whistle.
I can’t put it into words at the moment. It was a great performance because it was tough game. We should have probably had about five – I should have got one 20 minutes before I scored – but the most important thing is we won. However, it’s not over yet – there’s still one game left.

FULL TIME STATS
It turns out 703 passes count for very little when you’re dominated all over the pitch.

N’Golo Kante is too much for the tired legs of Real Madrid, and once again wins back possession in the Spaniards’ half before quickly playing in a teammate.
It looks as though Christian Pulisic has wasted another opportunity, but the American recovers and then shows great composure in skipping away from Thibaut Courtois, biding his time, and picking out Mount in the middle.
Catching Eder Militao unawares, the England international darts in front of his marker to steer the ball into the top corner. Cue the celebrations in West London!

83. It only takes one moment, of course, to change the whole complexion of this tie, and it may have nearly arrived there had it not been for Rudiger.
The Chelsea defender dominates in the air as Nacho swings over a delightful cross in the direction of Rodrygo at the far post.
CHELSEA 1-0 REAL MADRID (AGG 2-1)

Pulisic gets in behind with pace and skill, and then fires over a low cross that Havertz is just unable to reach on the stretch.
It’s no exaggeration to suggest that the Londoners could have had five this evening.
CHELSEA 1-0 REAL MADRID (AGG 2-1)
76. Zinedine Zidane rolls the dice, and lands a 25.
