GARETH SOUTHGATE has named his provisional Euro 2020 squad with some big names being left out.
Patrick Bamford, James Maddison, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Danny Ings have all been overlooked and SunSport has produced a best XI of players who have been snubbed.
The XI has a combined 126 England caps between them but that has not deterred Southgate.
Tottenham’s Eric Dier is one of the biggest casualties in the 33-man squad after a dismal season with Spurs.
Ross Barkley – who was kicked out of a posh Mayfair bar when drunk last week – has 33 caps and was also in with a shout after a solid season on loan at Aston Villa from Chelsea.
But the attacking midfielder has also been ignored.
Jesse Lingard, Jude Bellingham and Mason Greenwood will all report for duty this weekend but there is no place for Southampton striker Ings who scored 12 Prem goals in 29 games last season.
Leicester City star Maddison has also missed out despite his stunning form for the FA Cup winners with his previous disciplinary issues perhaps an issue for the Three Lions boss.
Southgate has to whittle his final squad down to 26 to submit to Uefa on June 1. But there is the chance to replace anyone who gets injured or falls ill up until 24 hours before their opening game against Croatia on June 13.
Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one of the most defensively sound full-backs in the Premier League but his lack of impact going forward appears to have hampered his Three Lions progress.

But his United team-mate Luke Shaw has been included after arguably the best season of his career.
Leeds ace Bamford is likely to be the most put out having scored 17 Premier League goals and laying on eight assists in 28 games for the Whites last season.
Fikayo Tomori has been on loan at AC Milan from Chelsea but the one-cap international has also been snubbed.
Milan kept seven clean sheets in the 22 games Tomori played but he has not done enough to get in ahead of Conor Coady, Ben White, Tyrone Mings and Ben Godfrey.
Dele Alli barely played for Tottenham last season under Jose Mourinho.
And despite a short run in the team during Ryan Mason’s reign, the playmaker has some work to do to revive his Three Lions career.
Newcastle’s Callum Wilson netted 12 goals and provided five assists for the Magpies last season but that was not enough for the chance to add to his four England caps.
Goalkeepers Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, Sam Johnstone and Aaron Ramsdale virtually pick themselves but Southampton stopper Alex McCarthy would likely be next in line if there was a swift spate of injuries.
And finally, Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski played all but two of the Clarets’ games in 20-21 but will be staying on two caps for the time being.
