KIERAN TIERNEY has penned a new FIVE-YEAR deal with Arsenal following Scotland’s Euro 2020 exit.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have reportedly made Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga their number one transfer target this summer.
And Arsenal are closing in on the £50m transfer of Brighton’s England defender Ben White, with talks underway.
But Martin Odegaard has confirmed he will be staying at Real Madrid next season.

GUNNER COST YA
Exclusive by Charlie Wyett: Brighton are playing hardball with Arsenal over Ben White and demanding £50million PLUS add-ons.
Arsenal’s second bid of £42m — in an overall deal which could have been worth £45m — has now been turned down.
The clubs are locked in talks with Albion owner Tony Bloom refusing to back down.
Arsenal, whose first bid was £40m, are discussing a potential offer of £45m plus £5m in add-ons.
But Brighton still insist they want even more.
A string of other clubs had been interested in the England centre-back, 23, including PSG, Tottenham, Liverpool and Dortmund.
TIER JERKER
Kieran Tierney has reacted to signing a new contract at Arsenal….
LOVE TO SEA IT
David Seaman would be delighted if Arsenal were to sign Ben White.
Deals for young stars before they hit their peak are a must in the former goalkeeper’s eyes, who likened the deal to Arsene Wenger’s best signings.
He stated on talkSPORT: “I think we’re going down that route of players where they have young, promising careers ahead of them.
“The days of signing marquee players – that are right on it now – Arsenal will struggle with that as they’re not in Europe.
“Arsenal are nowhere near [the Champions League] and they need to restructure their transfer policy.
“Arsene Wenger used to pick out people and he’d sign them and we’d asked, ‘who’s that?’ Then they turned out to be Thierry Henry!”
DOR OPENED
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in signing PSV Eindhoven forward Donyell Malen.
And the German club could use some of the money from Jadon Sancho’s imminent sale to Manchester United to fund the move.
Personal terms between Sancho and United have been agreed, with the Red Devils now needing to stump up an additional £8.5million to complete the deal.
Dortmund are plotting a £25m move for Malen, according to German outlet Bild.
And talks between Dortmund and Malen’s agen Mino Raiola have already begun.
The fee for the Netherlands international could rise but the Bundesliga club view the 22-year-old as Sancho’s replacement.
GUNNER MISS OUT
William Saliba will MISS Arsenal’s pre-season this summer.
The defender, 20, will instead be on international duty, after being called up to France’s 18-man squad for the Olympics in Japan.
Les Bleus will kick off their campaign at Tokyo Stadium on July 22.
And should they be successful, they will play the final at Yokohama Stadium on August 7.
This means that Saliba may still be playing at the Olympics just SIX days before Arsenal get their Premier League campaign underway against Brentford.
The call-up will be an honour for Saliba, but is the latest blow for an Arsenal career that has never really got going.
AUB-SOME
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave youngsters at Greek side A.O. Mykonos’ academy a nice surprise by training and taking pictures with them.
The Arsenal captain was pictured as he indulged in a pre-season kick-about with the teens in the Greek city.
MOMENT OF BISS
Signing Yves Bissouma would be ‘superb’ for Arsenal, according to old favourite Ray Parlour.
The ex-midfielder responded to the Gunners being linked with a £50million bid for the Brighton star.
He told talkSPORT: “Bissouma will be superb.
“I think he is efficient, he has got lots of energy, good on the ball, he is young enough for Arsenal to get four years out of him.”
BA-LACKING COURAGE
Michael Ballack has delivered a withering assessment of Germany’s chances against England – insisting too many of their players lack the heart for a battle.
He said: “We always find it difficult when we play against countries who are mentally strong and good in one-on-one duels.
“We have some lads who possess these characteristics – but not enough of them.
“Unfortunately we have too many players who have not learned how to be flexible during matches.
“They are pushed to their limits in difficult situations, when they need to win using other means than those originally planned.”
LOC AND LOADED
Juventus are ready to press on with a deal to sign Arsenal target Manuel Locatelli.
Tuttosport detail a two-year loan bid with a mandatory purchase option for the Italy midfielder, who is keen to move to Turin.
Sassuolo want £35million but Juve are said to be hoping to offer young defender Radu Dragusin plus £25m.
MORE ON TIERNEY
Technical director Edu added: “We are so pleased to have agreed a new long-term deal with Kieran.
“Anyone who has seen him play will recognise very quickly that he is a player of huge ability.
“But I can tell you that he is also a player with a fantastic attitude and mentality.
“Kieran’s new contract is not just about the present and next season, it’s with a long-term vision and Kieran being an integral part of the future of the club.”
ARTETA ON TIERNEY
Emirates boss Arteta has expressed his delight at Tierney signing a long-term extension – believed to be worth £110,000 per week – saying: “This is great news for us.
“As manager of the club, speaking on behalf of the coaching staff and the entire staff, it’s a pleasure to work with KT.
“His quality, energy, commitment and professionalism, not only on matchdays, but every day in training are always at such a high level.
“KT gives us so much extra strength both defensively and offensively and it’s great to know that he’ll be with us for the long term.
“Since his move from Celtic, his work ethic and quality has ensured that he is already one of most exciting players in the Premier League and a hugely important part of our team, both on and off the pitch.
“I know all the fans will join me, the players and staff in looking forward to seeing KT playing in an Arsenal shirt for a few more years.”
TIER WE GO
Kieran Tierney has signed a new FIVE-YEAR contract at Arsenal worth £110,000 a week.
The Scotland defender, 24, joined the Gunners in the summer of 2019 in a £25million deal from Celtic.
Despite being hampered by injuries, Tierney has quickly became an integral member of Mikel Arteta’s squad, playing 62 times at left-back, left-wing-back or even on the left of a central three.
PREM PROMISE
The Premier League have agreed to fund over 2,000 new defibrillators across grassroots football in the wake of Christian Eriksen’s brush with death.
The first phase will see the AEDs rolled out to Football Foundation funded facilities which currently do not have access to the life-saving device.
Then grassroots clubs across England who own their own facilities will then be able to apply for funding for a defibrillator.
Over 2,000 sites will benefit from this investment, with the first 1,000 units delivered in time for the start of season 2021-22 and the second wave expected in September.
Once installed, the AEDs will be accessible, if required, to an estimated 1.5m people that use these facilities per season.
As part of the scheme, each recipient will have required to send at least one person on the FA’s free Sudden Cardiac Arrest course to learn how to use them and also help with tips on CPR.
KAY AND DRY
England’s newest superstar Bukayo Saka was brought back to earth in savage style by team-mate Marcus Rashford.
The Arsenal teen – who was man of the match in Tuesday’s win over Czech Republic – was cheekily nutmegged by Rashford in training on Friday.
GOAL OF THE DAY
This was a tasty, tasty hit by Alexandre Lacazette.
ROM-ING CHARGE
Roma are reportedly preparing a player-exchange offer to get their deal for Granit Xhaka over the line.
Italian outlet Il Romanista detail plans to offer Amadou Diawara to the Emirates Stadium outfit as a makeweight for the Swiss midfielder.
Arsenal are said to want £21million for Xhaka, with Roma so far offering only £12m.
Lucas Torreira has also been named as a potential part of the deal.

Deals for young stars before they hit their peak are a must in the former goalkeeper’s eyes, who likened the deal to Arsene Wenger’s best signings.

“Arsene Wenger used to pick out people and he’d sign them and we’d asked, ‘who’s that?’ Then they turned out to be Thierry Henry!”
LOK’D IN
Arsenal target Albert Sambi Lokonga has made the Premier League club his ‘priority’.
A £15million bid has reportedly been launched for the Anderlecht star as Mikel Arteta looks to improve his creative options.
And transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano claims the player is very keen on sealing the move despite an approach from Atalanta.
RAY OF HOPE
Signing Yves Bissouma would be ‘superb’ for Arsenal, according to old favourite Ray Parlour.
The ex-midfielder responded to the Gunners being linked with a £50million bid for the Brighton star.
He told talkSPORT: “Bissouma will be superb.

CAM AND GET IT
Arsenal have reportedly made signing Rennes ace Eduardo Camavinga their top priority this summer.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is planning a major overhaul of the squad that finished eighth in the Premier League last season.
Beefing up the midfield is understood to be one of the Spaniard’s main priorities.
And according to reports, the 39-year-old has placed Camavinga at the top of his summer wishlist.
HOLD ON
Rob Holding could be allowed to leave Arsenal only months after committing his long-term future to the club.
The Gunners agreed a renewal to the summer of 2024 with the centre-back following a long run in the team last season.
But The Times report on Holding potentially being allowed to leave if Ben White joins from Brighton.
Arsenal are well stocked for centre-backs and White’s arrival could force Holding out, amid similar rumours regarding William Saliba.
HERO TO VILLA
Aston Villa are reportedly undeterred in their pursuit of Emile Smith Rowe.
Express & Star detail plans to make a second bid for the Arsenal star, having seen a £25million offer rebuffed.
The Gunners are in talks to sign him up to a new contract amid the interest from the ambitious Villans.
WHITE WASH
Arsenal have NOT submitted a £50million bid for Ben White, according to reports.
Brighton outlet The Argus quote a source dismissing claims that an offer has already landed for the England centre-back.
Mikel Arteta has been strongly linked with a move for a new defender this summer.
It is said that Brighton are happy to bide their time with no need to sell White.
ROWE BACK
Former Tottenham defender Alan Hutton has predicted an ‘outcry’ among Gooners if Emile Smith Rowe is allowed to leave.
Aston Villa have reportedly seen a bid rejected for the Arsenal talent.
And Hutton told Football Insider: “If they were to let Smith-Rowe go, I think there’d be an outcry, if I’m totally honest. Unless it was some sort of stupid figure, you know how the Arsenal fans react.
“Him and Saka were arguably their best players. To let one of them go to what I would see now as a rival club would be a hammer blow to Arsenal fans, Arteta and the club in general.
“I’d be very surprised if they manage to get their man but money does talk. If they get to a figure where they’re happy with that then obviously it will happen.”
