ALEXANDER ISAK has dealt Arsenal a massive blow in their quest to sign him after penning a new long-term contract at Real Sociedad.
The 21-year-old striker impressed during the 2020-21 campaign after banging in 17 LaLiga goals in 34 games, with none of his strikes coming from the penalty spot.

And he has earned rave reviews for Sweden at Euro 2020 after chipping in with two assists from his four outings.
His performances led Arsenal to consider activating his £59million release clause having contacted his representatives.
Real Madrid had also identified the player as a cheaper alternative to Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
But the Gunners and Los Blancos will not be securing his services this summer after Sociedad confirmed his new contract until 2026.
And in another positive for Sociedad fans, Real have bought out Borussia Dortmund’s £30m buy-back clause after allowing Isak to leave in 2019.
A club statement read: “Real Sociedad and Alexander Isak have agreed to the extension of the player’s contract, which ties him to the club until June 30, 2026.
“This afternoon, the player extended his contract in Stockholm.
“The event was attended by the president Jokin Aperribay, the Director of Football Roberto Olabe and the player himself.”

Speaking of his new contract, Isak said: “I’m very happy to continue at la Real.
“It is a great club, I feel loved here and hope to enjoy things with this team for many more years.”
Spanish news outlet AS have declared that his new release clause is around £86m in an attempt to put off potential suitors in the future.
