ARSENAL and Aston Villa are in a transfer fight for Emiliano Buendia, according to reports.
The Norwich playmaker, 24, enjoyed a stunning season helping fire the Canaries to a second Championship promotion in his three years at Carrow Road.
But Daniel Farke faces a huge battle keeping hold of his star man this summer.
Arsenal were linked with him last year and look set to revive their interest.
According to The Telegraph, the Gunners may be forced to act quickly if they want to secure the Argentine.
It is thought Aston Villa are prioritising a new No10 and preparing a bid.
After the success of Matty Cash and Ollie Watkins, the are keen to recruit players who have already played in England.
Buendia arrived at the Canaries from Getafe in 2018 for just £1.5million.
But Norwich are expected to demand £40m for the midfielder who is under contract until 2024 and had 31 goal involvements in the Championship this season.
However, Arsenal’s chase of Buendia depends on the future of Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian impressed on loan from Real Madrid in the second half of the campaign and Mikel Arteta is keen to get him back to the Emirates – either permanently or on another temporary deal.
But it is still unclear whether his parent club plan to use him next term.
Arteta said: “We have tried to make everything that we could to get Martin performing for the team, which I think he has done.
“He has adapted really well to our way of playing and to our football club.
“Hopefully we have given him the hope and the feeling that this could be a good place for him.”
