THAT’s ALL FOR TONIGHT
Liverpool are starting to look like the Liverpool of last season and they’re well in the hunt for a top four spot.
Arsenal, on the other hand, looked lazy and lacked fight.
Arteta’s men remain seven points off Liverpool and West Ham.
Still plenty of Premier League footy to come this weekend with Newcastle taking on Tottenham tomorrow, with coverage here at SunSport getting underway around 12:30PM.
Goodnight!
RED LETTER DAY
ALL of a sudden, Liverpool are starting to look like Liverpool again.
They pressed like Liverpool, bullied like Liverpool, dominated like Liverpool and, eventually scored like Liverpool.
Arsenal? Well they were an all-too-familiar Arsenal – timid, lazy, shoddy, hopeless.
But suddenly the door to Champions League qualification has swung open for the fallen champions.

JOTA’s THOUGHTS
Two goal hero Diogo Jota told Sky Sports: “Very important, I said last game to think about higher spots in the table we need to do our job, to win every game until the end.
“It’s very hard to win the Premier League. Today we did our job, let’s go to the next one. [On Alexander-Arnold assist] Unreal.
“Not just him, we have very good crosses in the team. We need to take advantage.
“It doesn’t matter if you start or are on the bench, you have to make an impact. That’s what I try to do always.
“I was expecting a bit more possession from Arsenal, we pressed really well and controlled the game. Another clean sheet, everyone is working hard.
“Now we have a hard game against Real [Madrid].”
SECOND HALF GOALS
Liverpool scored three wonderful second half goals.
Jota met Alexander-Arnold’s wonderful cross to break the deadlock.
Salah grabbed Liverpool’s second, riding the challenge of Gabriel and firing low past Leno.
That’s 18 league goals for Salah this season.
And finally, Jota got his second goal off the bench finishing off a well-worked Liverpool attack.
