ANDREA PIRLO sent Arsenal fans into a frenzy after posting a picture of himself in London on Instagram.
The Italian football icon has been out of work since he was axed by Juventus at the end of last season.
And Pirlo looks to be spending a bit of time away from football.
Earlier this week, the legendary playmaker posted a picture to social media showing him crossing a road in the English capital.
He simply captioned the image: “London calling.”
And Arsenal fans quickly pounced, asking Pirlo if he was coming to replace Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.
One said: “Next Arsenal manager.”
Another wrote: “Here we go, Arsenal’s next manager.”

One declared: “Welcome to Arsenal.”
Another added: “Arsenal need a CM.”
The Gunners have got off to an awful start in the Premier League, losing their first three games while failing to score a goal.
However, it is understood that Arteta retains the support of Stan Kroenke.
And Pirlo may be waiting a while for the Arsenal job to open up.
Reflecting on his brief stint as Juventus boss, which saw the Turin side lose their Serie A title run to Inter Milan, Pirlo said: “It was a complicated and marvellous season at the same time.

“When Juve called me I never thought about the risks. If I could go back in time, I would make the same choices.
“The adventure ended in a way I didn’t expect but has made my future even clearer.
“It’s time to start again and face new challenges.”
