LEGENDARY heavyweights Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis are set for a rematch – almost 20 years after their first meeting.
The boxing veterans – who have a combined age of 109 – are set to dust off their gloves and go to war once again.
Tyson made his long-awaited comeback late last year against Roy Jones Jr, with their exhibition fight over eight rounds called as a draw.
The former heavyweight champ had shed six stone for the charity event and made it known he was looking to fight again in 2021.
He looked set to face Evander Holyfield in Miami on May 29, but a deal couldn’t be struck between the two parties.
When is Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis?
In Iron Mike’s crosshairs now is the 6ft5 champ Lewis, who was a three-time heavyweight world champion.
Lewis famously KO’d the Baddest Man on the Planet in 2002 after the American threatened to ‘eat’ his children.
The Brit ended his career with a pro record of 41-2-1 from 44 fights, scoring 32 knockout victories.
Tyson has confirmed he will face Lewis, 55, in September this year.
He told TMZ: “I’m gonna fight Lennox Lewis. September.”
As yet, neither a concrete date nor venue has been confirmed – but stick with us right here on SunSport where we’ll update you as soon as we know more.
Which TV channel and live stream can I watch it on?
With no fight date yet confirmed, TV and live stream info looks set to be released later this year.
Tyson’s fight with Roy Jones Jr was broadcast on BT Sport Box Office in the UK.
It cost £19.95 to buy the card, so a similar situation is expected when Tyson faces Lewis.
Over in the States, the fight was shown on streaming service DAZN.
