Watch Canelo Alvarez teach Ryan Garcia brutal body shot that KOd Campbell and Brit says it was hardest punch he’d faced

LUKE CAMPBELL can have Canelo Alvarez to thank for giving Ryan Garcia a masterclass on body punching.

Campbell was left unable to beat the count when he faced Canelo’s protege Garcia at the start of January.

It followed from a devastating left hook that landed right on the sweet spot and had the brave Brit wincing in agony.

But it was no fluke as footage has since emerged of Canelo, 30, giving Garcia, 22, a lesson in the art of body shots.

The Mexican superstar is seen instructing how to feint upstairs before whipping in a left hook to the body.

And it is apparent Garcia is a clear listener and learner after he faked a hook to the head before crippling Campbell’s ribs in round seven.

Canelo – whose coach Eddy Reynoso also trains Garcia – took pride in the win as he celebrated with his gym partner in the ring afterwards.

The new lightweight Golden Boy is now set to be mandated against WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, 22.

And Campbell, 33, has sent out a warning to the champion and anyone else in the division that Garcia is the hardest hitter he has ever fought.

He said: “He’s very heavy handed. Even when I was blocking the shots, I could feel them.

“That was the hardest shot I was ever hit with. I tried and tried to get up, but I couldn’t.

“I felt him coming on, and I was moving back, and when you move back my body relaxed a little bit and that’s the exact time he hit me.”
