WARRINGTON CHECKED
Sky Sports confirmed the battered Brit was examined by the ringside medics and they were happy with his health.
But he was transported from Wembley arena to hospital for more checks.
MADNESS
Who thought they would see this, tonight?!
HEARN SPEAKS
“He never recovered from the shot, he came out he was erratic, 16 months out the ring, he got caught with a shot and he never recovered,” he said.
“How he got up in that fourth round I’ll never know.
“For Josh Warrington it’s a crushing blow, now it’s back to the drawing board.”
LARA BEATS WARRINGTON
Unbelievable from Mauricio Lara. What a performance.
WARRINGTON KNOCKED OUT
Josh Warrington hasn’t looked right all night and in the ninth round he took even more punishment from Lara.
The Mexican hit him with huge shots until Warrington could take no more.
Down he went to the canvas and that was all she wrote.
HUGE UPSET!
JOSH WARRINGTON HAS BEEN KNOCKED OUT!!!!!
ROUND EIGHT
Lara still moving forward, it’s his fight to lose at this point because Warrington still doesn’t look right at all.
He may be concussed or have a perforated eardrum. The balance just isn’t there, but he’s still hanging in there.
Lara manages to hurt him again and it’s becoming gruelling for Warrington, who looks stunned in there.
ROUND SEVEN
Can Warrington turn this around? He’s certainly got his legs back… sort of. But Lara still moves forward.
Warrington will need to pull out a huge flurry of punches to get any sort of respect from Lara, who looks incredibly well-schooled in there.
No-one gave the Mexican a chance this week, but here he is, seizing the opportunity handed to him.
ROUND SIX
Warrington looks to have got his legs back here but he’s still taking big shots from Lara, who looks confident as ever.
The Leeds Warrior still on the back foot as well, Lara pressing forward trying to land shots.
Unbelievable that Warrington has made it to this point as well. He was absolutely finished in the fourth.
But next we’ve got round seven!
ROUND FIVE
Warrington looking to fire back but his legs are still shaky. Lara should’ve got him out of here by now.
The Leeds Warrior lands a couple big shots but Lara shakes his head, no problem.
We head to a sixth! High drama!
ROUND FIVE
He still looks flat in there Warrington, this could be absolutely disastrous.
He’s looked flat from the opening bell, and he’s still in serious bother right now.
ROUND FOUR
WOW!!!
Huge round four for Lara.
The Mexican knocks Warrington down and the Leeds man is shaken to his boots!
Unbelievable.
ROUND THREE
A lot of noise coming from Lara’s corner, they can sense that maybe Warrington isn’t his usual self without the fans and razzmatazz.
Warrington will want to pick things up soon, he usually fights his best when he’s throwing hundreds of punches.
Still a slow-ish start from Warrington, but he’s landed the odd big shot.
Lara still relaxed.
ROUND TWO
Little bit of a wary start to the fight from Warrington, remember he’s been out of the ring for 16 months or so.
He usually has 20,000 Leeds fans cheering him in as well, so there’s that. Still.. some more big punches from both landing in this round.
Some massive exchanges already between the two, could be brewing into a war here. Lara doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.
1-1 or 2-0 Josh?
ROUND ONE
Warrington already peppering Lara with some big shots but Lara basically shrugs them off before marching forward himself.
He looks incredibly relaxed in there the Mexican, but Warrington won’t let up.
Some big punches raining down already, Warrington has always said he wants to be in wars and scraps.
He might have one on his hands here.

NEXT

WARRINGTON VS LARA NEXT!
Lara is making his walk to the ring as we speak! Nearly main event time.
REMATCH!
Hearn wants the Barrett-Martinez rematch!
ANGRY EDDIE
This is what Hearn had to say about those bizarre scorecards.
HEARN ON JUDGES
Eddie Hearn is absolutely furious with the judges over those scorecards.
Kiko believes he’s won the fight, so does Barrett.
It was an incredibly close fight, but 118-111 x2 is baffling.
BARRETT WINS UNANIMOUS DECISION
The judges scored it: 118-111, 118-111 and 116-113.
The Spaniard was totally confident of getting the upset win even from three British judges.
Baffling – almost criminal scoring.
ROUND 12
An even end to the fight, neither man in trouble.
The Sky Sports team concede that Barrett deserves to taste defeat.
The bell ends the fight and Martinez celebrates.
Barrett does not look confident of having convinced the judges.
ROUND 11
Great counter punching from Barrett as Martinez is tagged a few times at the end of the session.
Trainer Pat Barrett tells his nephew he is boxing beautifully and is “world class”.
But pundit Matt Macklin reckons Barrett needs to win this final round to avoid defeat.
ROUND 10
Another positive session for Barrett as Martinez begins to flag.
The Spaniard is still marching forward but not unleashing as many punches.
Barrett is planting his feet and firing more combinations.
