EX-UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov admits he’d love to see Oleksandr Usyk take on Tyson Fury.
The former undisputed cruiserweight king will bid to scupper the biggest fight in the history of British boxing this weekend when he locks horns with Anthony Joshua.
The entire boxing world is eager for both Joshua and Fury to get through their next bouts and go at it next year.
But Nurmagomedov would prefer to see slick southpaw Usyk take on The Gypsy King.
The Eagle said: “I really want to see Usyk vs Fury.
“It’s gonna be a very good fight. He [Usyk] has very good skill and technique, Tyson Fury, too.
“He is not like other heavyweights, more technique, his footwork is very good, his conditioning is very good.
“I really wanna watch Usyk against Fury.”

Nurmagomedov was ringside for Usyk’s unanimous decision victory over his countryman Murat Gassiev in July 2018, which saw the Ukrainian become the undisputed ruler of the cruiserweight division.
And the former MMA star believes The Cat is among the top-four boxers on the planet.
He said: “Right now, I think Oleksandr Usyk, Vasyl Lomachenko and Canelo Alvarez.
“Oh sorry, Tyson Fury, too. Four guys. It’s very hard [to decide] who is the best.”
Before Usyk can think about facing Fury, he must first get through unified heavyweight champ Joshua.

But the 34-year-old is more concerned about his six-year-old son, Mykhailo, starting school than besting AJ.
He told SunSport: “At the moment I don’t think about Anthony Joshua.
“I don’t think about what he will do, what he will use or how he will box.
“I have a little bit of timing to finish my training camp now, I might think about it then.
“Right now I think more about how my son feels at school because he has just started first grade and he really did not want to go and do it.

“He was saying: ‘I don’t want to go to school, dad. I am bored at school and you’re not there.’
“But everything is fine now, he seems to have calmed down.
“So I probably think more about that than what Anthony Joshua will do in the ring.”
