Tyson Fury predicts Anthony Joshua will win make-or-break Oleksandr Usyk rematch without saying word on fight

TYSON FURY has seemingly backed Anthony Joshua to settle the score with Oleksandr Usyk.

AJ will rematch the newly-crowned unified heavyweight champion next year after being turned over in their Tottenham tussle in September.

Fury, however, has tipped AJ to beat the Ukrainian in their rematch judging from his recent hit-list

The Watford warrior’s chances of dethroning the slick southpaw have been written off by many, but WBC king Fury has picked his fellow Brit to exact revenge on the undefeated Ukrainian.

On Tuesday, Fury shared a graphic of a ‘five-fight hitlist’ – which included TWO bouts with Joshua – to his social media channel.

His accompanying caption read: “Looking forward to some massive fights next year @WBCBoxing.”

A date for Joshua’s second encounter with Usyk has yet to be finalised, although SunSport understands the fight is in the works for late March or early April.

And the golden boy of British boxing has vowed not to try and outpoint the tactical technician second time around.

He told iFL TV: “I have one thing in my mind, that’s war, that’s murder, that’s war, let’s go out there and hurt the guy.

“Take his soul to the point where he wants to give up. That’s what boxing’s about, I’ve learned that.

“You hit people constantly, keep on applying a certain amount of pressure, before they know it they’ll realise you aren’t going anywhere, you’re here to stay.

“With the game plan, that’s all I have in my mind at the minute, that one track, stay on course, take this guy to places he doesn’t want to go.”

Before Fury can think about his long-awaited showdown with AJ, he must first win his upcoming Battle of Britain with Dillian Whyte.

SunSport understands the grudge match is in the works for late February, although both parties are currently going back and forth over the purse split.

Whyte promoter Eddie Hearn recently wrote in his BBC column: “We await official confirmation of the split for that fight, but it’s almost nailed on we will see Fury v Whyte in the spring of 2022.”

Hearn later told Fight Hype TV: “Well, I think, you know, what we really need to know is what’s the split gonna be, because that really reflects on the negotiation process for that fight.

“So, we would like to put a major offer in to stage that fight. Obviously, Top Rank will be as well.

”And we certainly don’t rule out doing a deal.

“But it has to be the right deal for Dillian Whyte and yet it has to be a fair reflection of his value in that fight.”
