Tyson Fury could fight Dillian Whyte BEFORE Anthony Joshua showdown, insists Eddie Hearn

EDDIE HEARN insists Tyson Fury could fight Dillian Whyte BEFORE his showdown against Anthony Joshua.

Deontay Wilder won the right to fight Fury for a third time.

And Joshua is now taking on Oleksandr Usyk instead.

Should Fury and AJ both win their next bouts, it’s expected they’d finally clash at the end of the year.

However, promoter Hearn claims Fury could end up fighting Whyte before getting near AJ.

British ace Whyte is the interim WBC champion and therefore mandatory challenger.

Hearn told DAZN Boxing: “If Tyson Fury wants another another fight in between, let’s do the right thing and give it to the mandatory challenger, Dillian Whyte.”

Hearn’s comments come after WBC president Mauricio Suliaman said that Whyte is NOT the WBC mandatory challenger.

And the issue will only be addressed once Fury completes his third scrap against Wilder.

Sulaiman told Boxing Social: “At this moment there is no mandatory contender in the division.

“We have this fight that is happening on July 24 and afterwards we will be addressing this matter.

“We have just seen in the news that Whyte will be fighting in August.

“We have not received a sanction request, that’s what we saw in the news.

“This is always an ever ongoing situation. There’s not much I can say right now.

“We’re in a process that we have to deal with and as soon as we have news about this matter, we will be letting you know.”
