And the hard-hitting Woodley will look to sharpen up his striking under the guidance of former unified super-middleweight and light-heavyweight champion Ward.

During an Instagram Live, the 39-year-old said: “Andre Ward, my dog, reached out.

“I cannot miss the opportunity [to work with him], it would be an honor and a blessing.

“Find some time to work with Andre Ward as well. After that, I’ll know more today.”

Woodley’s clash with the younger Paul brother – which will be a cruiserweight affair – will mark his professional boxing debut.

The St. Louis slugger will bid to avenge his good friend Ben Askren, who was knocked out by the former Disney star in April.

Woodley is relishing the opportunity to get his hands on The Problem Child and plans to leave him with a broken jaw.

He said: “All the clout chasing, all the yelling, all the blah, blah blah, ‘I’m a fighter, all the MMA guys don’t never want to fight me.’

“Now, you got a motherf*cker that’s going to fight you like you ain’t never been fought before.

“Ain’t no sparring you can do to motherf*cking get ready for it. Ain’t no meditation. Ain’t no kum ba yah.

“Ain’t no mama se mama sa mama coosa. Ain’t s**t you can do. You getting your ass beat. I’m pumped up about it.

“We gonna break some records, and I’m going to break a motherf***ing jaw while I’m at it. Get ready to make motherf***ing history. Breaking records.”

Despite having lost his last four in a row and being out of the win column for close to three years, Woodley is supremely confident ahead of his boxing debut.

He told ESPN: “Easiest fight of my career & biggest purse of my career all in one night.

“Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut this b***h up.

“This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”
