TOMMY Fury has revealed that Logan Paul prevented him from squaring up to his brother Jake in the ring following his victory against Tyron Woodley.
Jake Paul, 24, had just defeated former UFC Welterweight Champion Woodley by split decision in August when Fury tried to get into the ring to confront him.
And Fury claims that he was ready to have it out with Paul there and then, but Jake’s older brother Logan prevented it from escalating any further.
Fury explained at the time: “His whole team landed. Jake Paul is squaring up to me, but then he sees me at ringside, I’m leaning over the ropes waiting to get in there – here’s Logan [shakes his head] ‘No, no, not right now.’”
Speaking at the post-show press conference, Fury said: “Let’s be honest, if he really wanted to fight me, I’d have been in that ring at the end of the fight, through the ropes, let’s go. There’s no return.
“But he didn’t want that. And the reason he didn’t want that is because if I was getting in there, he wouldn’t be able to go back on it. That’s why I wasn’t in the ring tonight.”
He then added: “They ain’t fighters.”
The pair then reportedly had a fiery confrontation backstage, which took place in the corridors of the venue where Fury claims he was also ready to have it out.

“I mean I haven’t watched it back but I was ready to throw hands there and then. This man is all in front of the cameras but he doesn’t understand that me and my team will go – now.
“We don’t care about how many of you there are, we’ll get stuck in. So he can count his blessings in the hallway really.
“Forty of his security team broke it up because the man can’t fight, the man can’t fight at all. Imagine him in a street fight? Please, he wouldn’t last three seconds.
“If he didn’t have his security team there with him, he wouldn’t have even… he would have walked straight past me.
“Jake Paul hasn’t got nothing inside him and I see that in that corridor right then.
“There was a moment in that corridor right then when everything was going off between his security, my team and his team and it was just me and him, and I looked dead into his soul.
“And when them cameras are not around, he doesn’t want to know.”
Fury had been fighting on Paul and Woodley’s undercard, and beat The Problem Child’s sparring partner Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor by unanimous decision.
The fight was his seventh professional bout, which the undefeated 22-year-old has won an impressive four of by knockout.
Fury and Paul will finally come to blows in Tampa, Florida on 18 December and the two undefeated fighters have been trading brutal insults throughout the build up.
Fury’s older brother, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, 33, will be ringside to cheer him on, having trained Tommy in advance of his biggest fight to date.
And Jake’s older brother Logan will also be in attendance to support his brother, having prevented the two fighters from getting at each other months ago.
