CANELO ALVAREZ ramped up his war of words with his former promoter Oscar De La Hoya in an X-rated post on Instagram.
The Mexican pound-for-pound king was involved in a well-publicised split from De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions last year.
The two boxers initially refrained from taking jabs in the media at each other but their dispute has since spilled out onto social media.
Canelo claimed De La Hoya had ‘no loyalty’ in a bombshell interview before his knockout win over Billy Joe Saunders.
The Golden Boy has now seized an opportunity to hit back by commenting on a video of his former protegee teaching a young boxer the fundamentals on Instagram.

De La Hoya wrote: “Please, this guy does everything wrong.
“Head up when he throws hooks. On his heels, flat-footed. What else? Oh, he avoids Charlo.”
Canelo blasted back in response as he added: “Oh really? You want me to talk? F***ing traitor.
“Do me a favour and go f*** yourself.”
Canelo’s bad blood with De La Hoya stretches back to when the 30-year-old sued Golden Boy promotions and streaming service Dazn.

The four-division champ signed an 11-fight £280million contract in 2018 – lauded as the richest in sport – but alleged a breach just three fights in.
The lawsuit claimed De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and Dazn have caused a minimum of £216m of damages.
In the 24-page document, Alvarez sued for breach of contract, intentional and negligent interference with a contract, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty.
