The showdown is one every boxing fan is looking forward to.

Here SunSport takes a look at how the two men shape-up against each other:

RECORDS

Pacman is the sport’s only eight-division world champion ever.

He appeared to have bowed out in style when he defeated Thurman two years ago to become the sport’s oldest welterweight champion.

That left him with an impressive record of 62 wins out of his 71 fights.

Spence, meanwhile, is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.

The 31-year-old has continued to win since knocking out Kell Brook in 2017, defeating Lamont Peterson, Carlos Ocampo, Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia.

Spence is an undefeated, unified champ with a 27-0 record.

AGE & EXPERIENCE

At the age of 42, there is no doubt that Pacquiao holds the advantage when it comes to experience.

Spence Jr is 11 years his junior and that should ensure he also holds the speed advantage.

And some feel that Pacman may now just be a little too old to get the better of the American.

KOs

Pacquiao’s power helped him to become a huge favourite with fans across the globe but that appears to have waned with age.

In fact, he has only won once via knockout in the last 12 years.

On the other hand, Spence has amassed an impressive 21 knockouts out of his 27 victories.
