Logan Paul was ‘glad’ he fought Floyd Mayweather instead of Manny Pacquiao, who still looks ‘in his prime’ aged 42


LOGAN PAUL has admitted that he was ‘glad’ to face Floyd Mayweather rather than Manny Pacquiao.

The YouTube star survived eight rounds with Mayweather back in June.

But he feels he may not have achieved such a feat against Pacquiao.

Paul’s legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach told Betway Insider US blog: “We had fun with Logan when he visited. He seems like a good guy.

“After watching Manny work out, he said he was glad he fought Floyd instead of Manny, we liked hearing that!

“I thought Logan did well against Floyd.”

Pacquiao, 42, is set to return to action next week against Yordenis Ugas, despite his advancing years.

But Paul feels that the Filipino still looks in his ‘prime’.

The 26-year-old told ESNews: “He’s looking sharp.

“Someone made a comment when we were watching, they said ‘man, imagine Manny in his prime’.

“I said ‘he does look like he’s in his prime, he looks sharp… He doesn’t look 42.”

After Paul’s visit, Pacquiao wrote on social media: “Honoured to have Logan Paul come by Wild Card Boxing today.

“After watching me work out he said he was glad he fought Mayweather instead of me!”
