TYSON FURY has claimed that Anthony Joshua texted him ‘let’s see who loses first fat boy’ prior to his comeback in 2018.
The WBC heavyweight champion returned to the ring three years ago to face Sefer Seferi in what was his first bout since dethroning Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.
Joshua famously sent the Gypsy King a tweet where he told the 33-year-old to ‘get fit you fat f***’.
And Fury has now revealed that wasn’t the only message AJ sent his way during his hiatus.
Speaking to iFL TV, reporter Kugan Cassius reminded Fury how he wasn’t given a chance in his first fight against Deontay Wilder.
To which the unbeaten Mancunian said: “No I wasn’t, but I pulled through and that’s me. Gypsy King.”
He added: “Listen I’m not a big bragger or an ‘I am’ person, I do what I do and I get lucky sometimes and that’s it.
“It is what it is. 31 times in a row – 0 and 1.”

Cassius then stated Fury must be doing something right, with the boxer remarking: “I’m doing alright. I remember when I was fat as f***, 28 stone.
“And Joshua sent me a message. He went ‘get fit you fat f***.’ And he also said to me, ‘let’s see who loses first fat boy’.
“I was like, ‘f****** game on.’ He sent me a message saying that. We see who loses first.
“And I think he’s already lost twice. And I’ve still got that big fat zero baby.”
AJ TO STEP ASIDE?
Joshua is currently preparing to face Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch after the 2012 Olympic gold medallist was outpointed by the slick Ukrainian southpaw.
But Fury is keen for AJ to step aside so he can have the chance to fight Usyk in his bid to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
Joshua has insisted he has no intention of sitting on the sidelines, but is a ‘businessman’ and will at least consider an offer.
In response, Fury said: “Listen, I’m not going to give an opinion on that because he’ll end up seeing this interview and not stepping aside.
“So I want him to step aside so I can absolutely batter Oleksandr Usyk. But if he does, he does and if he doesn’t, he doesn’t.
“But one thing I will say is get the f*** on with it. Either take your money and f*** off or fight the man. Either way, one or the other.”
