JAKE PAUL’S trainer said Tyron Woodley ‘won’t go the distance’ in their rematch and warned the YouTube star has got ‘exponentially better’.
Paul scored the biggest win of his four-fight boxing career in August when he beat ex-UFC champion Woodley over eight rounds.
And he was then set to fight Tommy Fury, 22, until the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson pulled out injured.
Woodley, 39, has since signed as Fury’s late replacement, but Paul’s trainer BJ Flores promised to expect a whole new opponent come December 18.
Flores told SunSport: “Jake’s a lot better now than he was on August 29th, he’s a lot better.
“And you’ve got to remember, he just started boxing, so in a short period he gets a lot better very quickly.
“He’s only been boxing two years, so four months is 15 per cent of his entire career, so he’s getting a lot better.
“I know it will be a tough fight, Tyron will be tough in the beginning, but we expect Tyron won’t go the distance this time.

“It will be very tough for Tyron to keep pace with Jake, to handle with the kind of offense that Jake is bringing this time.
“It’s going to be a different fight this time and people will see that. Jake’s pace is going to be very high.”
In Paul’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
He then followed it up by outboxing Woodley over the eight-round distance.
Flores and Paul have since studied the performance and revealed their winning formula will look different in the anticipated rematch.
He said: “We’ll see how Tyron comes out. He’s an experienced veteran. The reason he wasn’t punching last time was because he couldn’t.
“He was getting counter-punched, he was getting hit when he was getting in range, he wasn’t really sure what part of the ring he needed to be in to not get hit.
“It’s a lot different than UFC, so he was trying to get his bearings as well, he’d never been in there with someone like Jake.
“We’ll be prepared for the best Tyron, I expect him to be aggressive, we’re going to be able to do what we always do.
“We can box, we can move and come forward, whatever we wants to do. And Jake’s pace will be a lot higher this time.
“It will be difficult for Tyron, I’m telling you right now it will be very difficult for him now we’ve seen how he fights and been able to break that down.”
Woodley has been the first and only of Paul’s opponent to make it to the scorecards.
But Flores is confident that will not be the case the second time around with another 24 minutes to close the show.
He said: “I see a victory, I see a win 100 per cent. I see a fight where Jake’s going to look exponentially better. He’s going to be sharper, crisper.
“He’s going to have a couple of new elements that you’ll see in round number one.
“I don’t know what round the knockout will come, I don’t care at all, we’re not in a rush, we’ve got eight rounds to do it.”
