DEONTAY WILDER versus Anthony Joshua remains a ‘super-fight’ despite both heavyweights having no world titles.
That’s the opinion of Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott, who believes his man has ‘a lot of options’ despite losing to Tyson Fury for a second time.
The American was spectacularly knocked out in the 11th-round in October as he failed to win back his WBC belt.
Joshua was easily outpointed by former cruiserweight king Oleksandr Usyk in September with the Ukrainian becoming WBA, WBO and IBF champ.
But Scott believes Wilder versus AJ is STILL a huge draw despite the pair firmly knocked off their pedestals.
Speaking to ESNews, Scott said: All those fights [Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk and Fury] are super, super-fights, especially him and AJ.
“That’ll always be a super fight no matter what. Him and Usyk. He has a lot of options.”
The Bronze Bomber has recently admitted he is considering hanging up his gloves after a knockout career.

Wilder will go down in history as one of boxing’s hardest punchers ever, with 41 KOs from his 45 fights.
But Scott is hoping the 36-year-old thinks carefully before walking away from the sport.
He added: “I told him the other day, ‘Think about the position you’re in, Bro.’ The position he’s at after a defeat is a position most fighters aren’t even in a position after they win a fight.
“What do I mean by that? I mean that is if Deontay Wilder decides not to do this again, look at what he’s done and look what he’s leaving with.
“Legacy, high finance and if he wanted to stay, he could become a two-time heavyweight champion of the world.
“Look at those options. He knocked him [Fury] down two times. He has a lot of options, a lot of options.
“The position he’s in right now, you take Tyson Fury out of it. Deontay, in my opinion, has one of the best positions in boxing right now because if he stays, he can become a two-time heavyweight champion of the world.”
While Wilder contemplates ‘what’s next’, Fury is next scheduled to be in action in March, in a non-title fight.
Joshua, meanwhile, is set to rematch Usyk in a bid to win his world titles back.
