DAVID AVANESYAN vs Liam Taylor headlines tonight’s big Sky Sports Boxing show after Chris Eubank Jr’s fight was called off.
Eubank Jr’s opponent Antoli Muratov – who was a late replacement this week – failed a medical today and the bout is off.
This means the EBU welterweight title fight between Avanesyan and Taylor now headlines a stacked card at the Wembley Arena which also features Brit cruiserweight sensation Richard Riakporhe.

David Avanesyan retains his European welterweight title and improves his record to 28–3–1.
He is now on the cusp of world level and will be pushing for a title eliminator in the near future.
A clash with Conor Benn is also mouthwatering and maybe one that will be left to brew.

There are some boos around the crowd but Taylor is being medically checked now.
He did take some clean shots on the ropes, and had he been in the centre of the ring, he could have been on the floor.
Avanesyan was just starting to get into a rhythm and in honesty, it was a case of sooner rather than later.

Electric start to the round as both men come out swinging, Avanesyan landing a big left hook flush.
Avanesyan is finding success out of the southpaw stance, digging in straight lefts and hooks over the top.
Big left hooks staggers Taylor, another shot comes in over the top and the referee stops the bout! Avanesyan is the winner by stoppage.

Taylor comes out fast letting his hands go as Avanesyan walks forward with his hands up.
Avanesyan walks Taylor to the ropes and lets his hands go but nothing telling gets in, but the pressure is already being put on.
Taylor doing a good job in returning fire but he’s on the back foot early and is DROPPED by a right hand! Big end to the round by Avanesyan.

Expect fireworks from defending European champion Avanesyan, who beat Josh Kelly in six rounds.

The ref scores the bout 59-55 in favour of Ebonie Jones, who wins her professionl debut with ease.
She never stopped coming forward and landed some nice shots over the top.
Jones also had a big following here tonight, which will be an important part of her career going forward.

She lands again with a couple of right hands but nothing to seriously trouble Masiokatie

Masiokatie lands a nice little combination, a rarity in the bout so far.
Jones is still coming forward, she hasn’t stopped the whole fight looking for shots over the top.
She’s comfortably in the lead heading into the sixth and final round.

Jones is displaying how to fight a taller opponent really well, fast feet and fast hands.
She lands a right hand over the top to back Masiokatie up again.

Another left hook lands for Jones, who is having success at close quarters.
Left hook to the body and then head lands for Jones, as she charges in and closes down the distance.
Masiokatielands the occasional straight shot from range but not enough to keep Jones off.

Richard Riakporhe will face Olanrewaju Durodola in a ‘WBC Silver Cruiserweight Eliminator’.
Caroline Dubois, fresh off the Olympics, will also make her professional debut and fan-favourite Florian Marku.
GERMAINE BROWN vs JAMAL LE DOUX – ROUND 10
Germaine Brown is awarded the verdict 99-92 by the official. He will now go on to challenge for the English super-middleweight title.
Brown was the busier of the pair and landed some eye-catching counters and combinations.
Le Doux was the aggressor, but simply did not let his hands go enough.
GERMAINE BROWN vs JAMAL LE DOUX – ROUND 10
Final round here and both men get straight to work.
Brown is on the back foot with Le Doux coming forward, landing a short uppercut on the inside.
Big push down the stretch from both men, Brown backs up Le Doux on the ropes but finds his shots blocked.
Final bell sounds to close out a good fight which will now go to the scorecards, and decide the next English super-middleweight title challenger.

Le Doux leads with a right but Brown counters smartly with a left hook.
Brown lands a big right and left hook with Le Doux backed up, he’s having a strong round here.
Le Doux is again backed up to the ropes and Brown scores with an uppercut and right hand over the top.

Le Doux falls in and Brown lands one over the top, then lets his hands go with a scoring combination.
Both men fighting on the inside now, Le Doux is leading of but it’s Brown who is having the last say in the exchanges.
Good action that round, mostly fought at mid-range or on the inside.

Brown comes out quick and lets his hands go, landing with a right hand over the top.
Both men land with good left hooks and the bout is starting to hot up again.
Le Doux lands a sneaky uppercut and walks forward, Brown tries to counter but hasn’t got the room to do so.

Pace has slowed slightly in the sixth.
Le Doux lands a check hook and is the busier with his jab in a round where not too much has happened.
Not too much to split them at the moment.

Le Doux is landing the jab but Brown has connected with a couple of counters, left hook and right hand to name a few.
Big right hand counter from Brown draws a big roar from the crowd, he tries it a second time but just misses.
Good action after five here, as we head into the second half.

Some good exchanges on the inside, Brown looking to let his hands go with hooks and uppercuts, landing with success.
Both scoring with short shots in the inside and settling into a nice pace.
Brown just looks in the ascendency but there’s not much to split them after four.

Brown lets his hands go right at the start of the round but Le Doux senses the urgency and covers up.
Le Doux pushes Brown back and lands a short right hand. Good start to the second here.
Brown lands with a check left hook towards the end of the round but similarly Le Doux found home with a right. Good round that.

Brown sneaks in a counter uppercut but Le Doux takes it and comes forward.
Couple times Brown looked to land the right but just couldn’t quite hit the target.
Fight hasn’t yet come to life but the tempo is being raised slowly.
