BEN ASKREN has told Tyron Woodley to go and ‘whoop’ Jake Paul after suffering a TKO defeat at the hands of the YouTuber.
Saturday night’s showdown between the online sensation, 24, and the retired MMA fighter, 36, ended in the first round.
A swift one-two from Paul put Askren on the canvas and the referee stopped the fight after he had unconvincingly clambered to his feet.
Some onlookers were not won over by the legitimacy of the contest yet the victor will continue to look up the boxing food chain.
And Askren has tipped old MMA team-mate Woodley to jump into the ring with Paul.
Although he revealed that Oscar De La Hoya is the former welterweight world champion’s ideal fight.
The American said: “I would love Tyron to whoop him up.
“Tyron wants to fight Oscar De La Hoya but I would love Tyron to fight Jake Paul.
“He’s a significantly better boxer than I am so that would be my guy.”
Askren admitted post-fight that he was hugely disappointed with his performance in Georgia.

He declared: “It’s probably deserved. I got knocked out by Jake Paul, it’s f***ing embarrassing.”
A number of fighters have been linked with facing Paul next up, from Tommy Fury to Conor McGregor.
Aussie UFC star Robert Whittaker threw his hat in the ring and claimed he’d even be cheaper than Askren.
