Zlatan Ibrahimovic could have played his last game for AC Milan because of coronavirus
Italy has been one of the hardest hit by the killer disease with 59,138 confirmed cases and 5,476 deaths.
And Serie A has been postponed indefinitely.
The maverick Swede only signed a six-month deal when he put pen to paper earlier this year.
And given the likelihood of the football blackout in Italy continuing well beyond June, the 38-year-old will finally call it a day, according to Italian outlet Gazetta dello Sport.
The news comes after it emerged Ibrahimovic was already planning to QUIT AC Milan at the end of the season and turn to management.
According to Sportmediaset, the Swedish international has already become disillusioned with life at the San Siro.
The striker has been left angry at the sacking of chief football officer Zvonimir Boban – the former Croatian international who was instrumental in bringing the Swede back to the club.
And reports suggested Ibra willl choose against staying on until the end of the 2021 season, and instead look to become a manager.

SEASON OF STRUGGLE FOR AC
Zlatan scored 56 goals in 85 matches and won Serie A in 2011 with the Italian giants in his first spell with the club.
But it’s been a rocky road for the Rossoneri this campaign.
The club are already on their third manager in the last 12 months, sitting 7th in Serie A – a staggering 27 points behind rivals Juventus at the top of the table.
Ibra has scored three goals in seven league starts so far this season.
After signing the maverick Swede in January, current boss Stefano Pioli was thrilled to be working with the veteran superstar.
The gaffer said at the time: “Ibra is a warrior, a leader, a charismatic player who has a great sense of responsibility and a great desire to win.
“He’ll stimulate the whole team, his contribution will be crucial.”
