Why isn’t Kevin De Bruyne playing for Man City at Man Utd?
Kevin De Bruyne picked up a shoulder injury in Man City’s Carabao Cup final win over Aston Villa and then missed the FA Cup win at Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.
But Pep Guardiola had been hopeful that he would be able to play some part at Old Trafford.
On Thursday, the Man City manager said: “He is getting better.
“Today we didn’t train and tomorrow he will improve.
“This morning he was with the physio and he said he feels better.
“Not perfect, but he feels better. We will see.”
However, De Bruyne was not passed fit for the game and will now have his spot taken by Phil Foden, who will look to continue his excellent recent run of form.
