Who is Ethan Ampadu?
The 17-year-old, born 14 September 2000, is a defensive midfielder.
He is the son of former lower league player Kwame Ampadu, who came through the ranks at Arsenal before having spells at West Brom, Swansea, Leyton Orient and Exeter City.
Ethan is a product of the Exeter academy, making his debut aged just 15 years, 10 months and 26 days – the club’s youngest ever player.
He was named man of the match in that match, a League Cup tie against Brentford.
Ampadu joined Chelsea in July 2017.
He joined German outfit RB Leipzig on a season-long loan in August 2019.
How many Wales caps does Ethan Ampadu have?
Ampadu had the chance to play for England, Republic of Ireland or Ghana, but chose Wales.
The midfielder was called up for the first time in May 2017, aged just 16, but did not make his debut.
He earned his first cap against France on November 10.
