GARETH BALE looks set to become one of the highest earners in the Premier League when he completes his loan move back to Tottenham.
The Real Madrid winger, 31, is on the brink of signing a season-long loan deal at White Hart Lane.
He will still get paid his full £650,000 per week – more than anybody else in England’s top flight.
However, a large chunk of that, thought to be at least 50 per cent, if not as much as 60 per cent, will be stumped up by his parent club in Spain.
That will leave Spurs to cover around £325,000 each week for the Wales hero, £125,000 more than their next big-money earner, Harry Kane.
Remarkably, that figure for Bale is only the fourth-highest weekly wage for an individual in the Premier League.
David De Gea’s new contract signed a year ago bumped his pay up to a staggering £375,000 per week making him the top earner.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signed a new three-year contract at Arsenal this week, taking his wage from around £200,000 to a reported £350,000-plus.
Commenting on his stay, he said: “I want to become an Arsenal legend, just like Thierry, Wrighty, Adams and Bergkamp.
“I want to leave a legacy, this is where I belong. This is my family. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal.”

It means when it comes to bonuses, Aubameyang may even pip team-mate Mesut Ozil who has not played a competitive minute of football since March 7 – yet still pocked a base figure of £350,000 every seven days.
Manchester City playmaker and PFA Player of the Year Kevin De Bruyne is the next on the list thanks to his £320,000 weekly wage at the Etihad.
Chelsea’s club-record signing Kai Havertz, 21, is sixth as he takes home an incredible £310k every week.
De Bruyne’s City team-mate Raheem Sterling comes in at seventh with £300,000 having signed a five-year deal in 2018.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is eighth with £290,000, followed by his French compatriot Anthony Martial who pockets £250k.
And City striker Sergio Aguero completes the top ten by taking home £230k per week.
