Watch Cristiano Ronaldo ‘leap like prime Michael Jordan’ to score stunning header for Juventus at Roma

CRISTIANO RONALDO made goalscoring history with a sensational header that saw him leap “like a prime Michael Jordan”.

The Juventus forward, 35, scored with one of his trademark jumps – where he seems to hang in the air longer than possible – against Roma last night.

Ronaldo was left unmarked in the box in the 69th minute of the Serie A clash with Juve 2-1 down at the Stadio Olimpico.

Danilo’s cross from the right met Ronaldo who found the target in clinical style to record his 450th goal across Europe’s big five leagues.

Portugal sensation Ronaldo – who scored both in the 2-2 draw – is the first player in history to reach that epic goalscoring milestone.

But it seems fans were even more in awe of his physical ability showing no sign of slowing as he draws towards the end of his career.

In response to a video of the goal, one said: “35 years old. Jumping like prime Jordan. Ridiculous.”

Another referenced Ronaldo’s amazing header against Roma for Manchester United in their 2008 Champions League quarter-final first leg clash.

They said: “Same Cristiano Ronaldo. Hasn’t aged a day since that iconic header against Roma with Manchester United vs the header against them now with Juventus.”

Another tweeted: “Ronaldo should come up with a name for this floating header. He did it again.”

A fellow user wrote: “Cristiano Ronaldo WHAT A GOAL. The Michael Jordan of football with a phenomenal leap and header.”

One posted: “That hanging header by Cristiano Ronaldo has become yet another trademark of the Legend.

“To suspend in the air like that and still manage to put power and precision behind a header is absolutely phenomenal.”

It was in December last year that Ronaldo had fans in awe again with an amazing 8ft 5in header against Sampdoria.

Then he was found to have hung in the air for 1.5 seconds.

It prompted Sampdoria boss Claudio Ranieri to say: “Ronaldo did something that you see in the NBA, he was up in the air for an hour and a half.”

Ronaldo will be looking to lead another title charge for Juventus

Before that came the jaw-dropping overhead kick for Real Madrid against Juventus, where Ronaldo leaped 7ft 7in to connect.

Ronaldo is able to pull off such amazing feats through sheer talent – and a famously relentless work ethic.

He loves the gym and follows a Pilates-based routine that focuses on resistance work to strengthen his core.

A £50,000 cryotherapy chamber helps him recover and he regularly posts gym selfies where he is working on building the muscle in his legs.

Juventus wil need Ronaldo to be at his best this season as they aim to defend their Serie A title, with Napoli, Verona and Milan currently leading the way on six points after two games – two ahead of Juve.
