The defender suffered a suspected broken nose
But the defender’s game came to a brief and bizarre end just six minutes into the Ekstraklasa fixture.
As a corner was played into the box Dabrowski attempted an overhead kick.
But it was a complete swing and a miss for the 32-year-old as the ball whizzed past his head.
Despite comically getting nowhere near making contact with the cross, unfortunately for Dabrowski he planted his knee right into his nose.
The defender was left with a busted and bloodied nose which is believed to be broken.
But fans online could not help but mock the remarkable injury.
One said: “Only Polish Premier League provides such experiences.”
Dabrowski’s self-inflicted nose break joins the list of football’s most unlikely injuries.
Wimbledon FA Cup hero Dave Beasant tore a tendon in his toe when he dropped a bottle of salad cream and tried to control it with his bare foot.
Beasant had to miss two months of football.
And former England and Liverpool keeper David James once pulled a muscle in his back while trying to reach the remote control.
