Tottenham transfer target Ryan Fraser set to snub short-term Bournemouth deal meaning he can leave for FREE in summer

BOURNEMOUTH’S out-of-contract quartet Charlie Daniels, Simon Francis, Artur Boruc and Andrew Surman are all set to sign extensions to complete the season.

But key man Ryan Fraser at this stage is not expected to follow suit.

Experienced players Daniels, Boruc, Surman and captain Francis currently all have their deals expire on June 30.

That means they would only be eligible to play a handful of games when the Premier League returns next week.

The South-Coast club are moving to ensure that is not the case with fresh terms that run until the campaign is concluded.

Boss Eddie Howe would love to do the same with contract rebel Fraser, whose skills could be the difference between staying up or going down.

But with interest from Tottenham and elsewhere, the Scottish winger, 26, looks at this stage likely to snub the opportunity to extend.

This would leave him free to sign for another club from July 1 onward.

But he would not be eligible to play for a new club until next season, due to registration rules.

Perhaps due to speculation surrounding his future, Fraser’s performances have dropped off this season – scoring just once and providing four assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Potential suitors won’t have forgotten his stunning displays last term, however, when he laid on a stellar 15 assists in addition to eight strikes of his own for the Cherries.

Howe’s side pick up their Premier League campaign sitting 18th in the table with nine games to spare.

As it stands Fraser would be eligible to play in the first two of those crucial fixtures, against Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers, before his contract is due to expire.
