Germany is one of the hardest hit countries in Europe with more than 103,000 cases and 1,810 deaths.
And the German international was careful to abide by government measures as he posed for pictures with Bayern legends Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic who helped conduct the negotiations.
Muller has been with the German giants since he was ten and has made 521 appearances since breaking into the first team in 2009.

Since then he has scored 195 goals and notched 186 assists – eight of those goals have come this campaign before coronavirus put a stop to the Bundesliga.
He also boasts eight Bundesliga titles, five German Cups, five German Super Cups and the 2013 Champions League from his time with the Bavarians.
There were rumours he may leave at the end of the season.
Speaking to the club website after the deal was agreed, Muller said: “I’m sure that once we’re playing again, we’ll continue to be very successful. That spurs me on.
“For me, the number one priority was to extend at FC Bayern – and the club felt the same way.
“This club is not just any old employer for me. It’s my passion.
“I’m happy that I’ll be here for two extra years, and I’ll give everything on and off the pitch.”
