And it is thought to have been the last straw for the 23-year-old Frenchman, who could now move to Barcelona, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
Ndombele was joined by Spurs team-mates Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon for the midweek get-together which broke social gathering and distancing rules.
That earned a ticking-off from police and the club for Mourinho.
It is claimed that Mourinho knocked on NDombele’s door to ask him to accompany him on the workout.
The Frenchman had steadfastedly followed the Government demands on the lockdown – but left his house under Mourinho’s orders.
Mourinho has previously attacked NDombele over his fitness and commitment – hauling him off at half-time against Burnley.
The Portuguese then publicly criticised his player on television afterwards.
And this latest incident seems to spell the end of the former Lyon man’s Tottenham career.
Reports in Spain claim Barca are ready to seal a cut-price deal for the player signed by previous boss Mauricio Pochettino.
NDombele has played just 943 minutes in the Premier League this season.
