JESE RODRIGUEZ’S career has been left in limbo after having his contract at Sporting Lisbon terminated.
The Spanish forward has returned to parent club Paris Saint-Germain but has been told he has no future in the French capital.
Jese Rodriguez has had his loan stint at Sporting terminated
His stint in Paris has been marred with question marks over his attitude after being shipped out on loan four times in the last four years.
He struggled at Las Palmas before being part of the Stoke side that suffered relegation to the Championship.
Rodriguez then had stints at Real Betis and more recently in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon.
He made six starts and six substitute appearances for the club scoring one goal.
According to Marca, Sporting were happy with his performances but decided there was no space for players in the squad who were on loan.
Rodriguez was touted as one of the game’s most talented forwards when he came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid.
He spent four years at the Bernabeu before moving to PSG for a £20million fee in 2016.
But his career and reputation have taken a major hit since having been accused of piling on the pounds.
During his time in the Potteries, Rodriguez was given unpaid compassionate leave having failed to report for training after his ex accused him of “having sex in nightclub loos”.
