SERGIO ROMERO has been offered a return to former side Racing Club.
The Argentine was furious to be left out of Manchester United’s 25-man Premier League and Champions League squads this season, after being denied a Deadline Day loan move to Everton.

Romero, 33, is desperate to leave Old Trafford, after being overlooked in favour of David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant.
The MEN claim that the 96-cap stopper has held showdown talks with United chiefs.
And SunSport revealed that Romero wants his United contract terminated a year early, so that he can find a new club.
Given his wealth of experience, he is unlikely to struggle for offers, should United grant him his wish.
And, if he is willing to take a cut on his current £100,000-a-week deal, he could return to where his career began.
Racing Club chief Victor Blanco told Radio Colonia: “I dream of bringing Chiquito [Romero], but he has to come with the conviction of wanting to return, knowing that he’s not going to earn in dollars or the amount of money he earns in Europe”.
Romero made four appearances for Racing as a teenager in 2006-07, before moving to Europe with AZ Alkmaar.

Upon his failed move away from Old Trafford, he wasn’t the only one to be furious.
His wife Eliana Guercio fumed on Instagram: “Sergio Romero worked hard for his club.
“Last trophy they won, they lifted it with him.
“He helped the team reach four finals/semi-finals and then he was on the bench, only to lose them all.
“It is time for them to return the opportunity and let him go. RESPECT FOR ONCE!!!! [sic].”
Romero has made 61 appearances for the Red Devils since signing in 2015, helping them win the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League along the way.
He made his last appearance in last season’s Europa League quarter-final victory over FC Copenhagen in August.
