SERGIO AGUERO has shared a picture from his hospital bed following emergency surgery on his knee, before thanking fans for their support.
The Manchester City legend, 32, hobbled out of the 5-0 win over Burnley on Monday night, with boss Pep Guardiola fearing the worst.

Aguero jetted off to Barcelona to see Dr Ramon Cugat – dubbed “the Lionel Messi of medicine” – and immediately went under the knife.
And he reassured his fans that he was OK, as he grinned in a picture shared to Twitter.
Aguero captioned the tweet: “Everything went well, and I’ll soon begin recovery.
“A big thanks to Dr Cugat and his team – and to all of you for your support.”
The hope now is that Aguero could still be ready to face Real Madrid in the last-16 of the Champions League in August.
Sources close to the player believe he may be back in as little as five weeks.
That would then give him an outside chance of making the second leg — with City winning 2-1 at the Bernabeu.
Aguero’s dad, Leonel Del Castillo, revealed: “He thinks it’s the meniscus, because if it were a more serious injury, the knee would feel different.

“He will have an MRI scan and then they will see the seriousness of the injury.
“After the surgery, we will be in Barcelona for five or six days and return to Manchester for recovery.
“He said he wanted to do it now to play in the Champions League.”
However, Aguero is unlikely to play in any of Man City’s remaining Premier League games.
