SCUNTHORPE forward Kevin van Veen has accused Manchester City star Taylor Harwood-Bellis of ‘cashing him off’ during Wednesday night’s EFL trophy game.
The Dutch striker says the 17-year-old boasted of having more money than him during the League Two Iron’s 3-1 win.

A City spokesman said centre-back Harwood-Bellis “totally denies” the claims.
But Van Veen, who scored two, claims he was pleased to shut the England Under-19 star up.
The former Northampton ace, 28, said: “He was just cashing me off really – saying ‘I’ve got more money than you’.
“He scored last week for the first team against Port Vale. I don’t mind all that. It’s great for them to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
I’D NEVER BE COCKY LIKE THAT
“But I just told him ‘if I can score two against you, what do you think Harry Kane is going to do to you’.
“He just cashed me off and didn’t take that too well. I’m happy I scored two and basically shut him up. And that’s that.”
Van Veen says Harwood Bellis and some of his City team-mates would get “eaten up” in the lower leagues.
He told BBC Humberside: “I just looked at him and thought ‘what are you even on about?’.
“He’s giving it the big one and he’s not really done anything yet.
“You play for a great club, keep your mouth shut and show everyone how good you are.
“If I was in his position I’d never be cocky or arrogant like that.
“I’m not going to say they all are – but the centre back was.
“I just think those type of players wouldn’t live in League One or League Two. They’d be eaten up by a lot of players.
“Imagine playing Lee Novak, Tom Pope, Akinfenwa. They’d have no chance.
They are technically very good but the better team won.”
Van Veen added: “I don’t think any of those players would survive in League One or League Two, physicality, pace wise.
“They’re all really good on the ball but the third goal we just put pressure on them and they made a mistake.”
