MAURIZIO SARRI has paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo’s mum for helping provide Juventus with a goalscoring “specimen”.
After going the whole of November without scoring, the Juventus star has responded by entering a mesmeric run of form.

Ronaldo, 34, has bagged 12 goals in his last nine games, the latest of which came in Wednesday night’s Coppa Italia win over Roma.
And Sarri lauded his striker – and mother Dolores Aveiro – after the game.
He told reporters: “Ronaldo is in extraordinary physical and mental condition, scoring with remarkable consistency.
“On an individual level, I don’t see what Ronaldo could improve. Perhaps in some defensive moments.
“I cannot take credit for Ronaldo’s current form, you can only give credit to his mother for creating such a specimen.”
Some onlookers felt that the forward’s contribution in his first year in Italy was somewhat below-par, despite netting 28 times in 43 matches.
But that tally is set to be blown out the water this time around with Ronaldo already on 19 goals before the end of January.
And his latest feat involved racing down the left flank against Roma before slotting in the opener – with Juve going on to win 3-1.
The Old Lady qualified for the Coppa semi-finals with the victory, having recently stretched their lead at the top of Serie A to four points.
The superstar’s mum, 65-year-old Dolores, is often seen by Ronaldo’s side during family holidays and trophy celebrations.
