Real Madrid set for mass exodus with Bale and Rodriguez first out to make way for Camavinga transfer

REAL MADRID are set for a mass exodus with Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez the first out to make way for wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga.

Los Blancos are expected to flog at least five valuable assets to raise enough cash to spend on their other summer targets amid the coronavirus crisis.

According to Marca, the Bernabeu hierarchy have given strict orders for the club to sell before they buy due to the financial uncertainty surrounding the killer virus.

The LaLiga giants must offload at least five of the club’s top earners in order to splash out in the summer, as there will be a total of 37 players in their squad following the return of numerous loanees.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane is said to be a huge fan of Camavinga, 17, with the player believed to be a top priority as the Spanish outfit look to sign a defensive midfielder.

The LaLiga outfit view the Rennes prodigy as the ideal replacement for Paul Pogba amid reports suggesting that the Frenchman is ready to stay at Old Trafford for another year.

The hot shot has been in scintillating form in France with 36 appearances, one goal and two assists to his name.

When the midfielder’s side beat Paris Saint-Germain in August, he became the youngest player to make an assist in league history.

There is thought to be no release clause in Camavinga’s contract and his price tag is likely to start at around £44million.

Zizou will also need cash to land 19-year-old prodigy Erling Haaland – who has a £63m release at Borussia Dortmund.

Bale has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Real but his £650,000-a-week wages mean that few clubs can afford him, particularly given the current climate.

Zidane was desperate to flog the Welsh star in 2019, but a £1m-a-week move to Jiangsu Suning fell through late in the day.

Bale was subsequently re-integrated into the first-team in Madrid but the injury-prone superstar has struggled to make much of an impact – scoring just three goals and assisting a further two in 18 appearances this term.

Dimitar Berbatov reckons Newcastle should try land the mega-bucks star amid their £300m takeover with a Saudi-backed consortium.

Rodriguez has just one year to run on his contract so Real are keen to avoid losing him on a free and will let him go for £35million.

Bayern Munich rejected the chance to turn his loan spell into a permanent deal last summer, with the ex-Monaco star returning to the Bernabeu where he has featured just 13 times this season.

Everton are reportedly desperate to snap up the Bernabeu playmaker but they face competition from Arsenal, Chelsea and Wolves, while Inter Miami are also keen.

Lucas Vazquez has found it tough to make the starting line-up in Madrid’s star-studded team and is thought to be open to a Premier League move.
