REAL MADRID can reportedly use Achraf Hakimi as a bargaining chip to land Erling Haaland’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

The versatile Moroccan is in the final season of his two-year loan at Dortmund and has shone with seven goals and ten assists in 37 appearances this term.

It’s no surprise that BVB are desperate to keep the 21-year-old in their clutches and according to AS, the German side will attempt to negotiate terms with the Bernabeu to extend the youngster’s deal.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane is keen on bringing Hakimi back into his first-team plans in the Spanish capital but some of the Los Blancos camp are concerned he will just rot on the bench.

Dani Carvajal remains first-choice for the LaLiga giants – just as he was when Hakimi acted as his deputy in the 2017-18 season.

An agreement for Dortmund to tie the Moroccan ace down to a permanent deal could work in Real’s favour, having identified BVB golden boy Haaland as the man to lead their line for years to come.

However plans could be scuppered by the fact that Hakimi is also on the radar of Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG.

And Los Blancos may be forced to wait until 2022 for Haaland when his £63million release clause comes into play.

The 19-year-old penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with the German giants when he signed for £18million in December,

But according to reports, Dortmund agreed for the highly-rated youngster to have an exit clause in his contract, allowing the Norwegian starlet to force an exit two years before his deal runs out.

He has taken to the Bundesliga by storm with 13 goals in his first 13 appearances, sparking interest from Juventus also.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are desperate to sign the teenager next year, as they look set to lose Gonzalo Higuain in the coming months.

And there are plenty of Premier League clubs are also showing interest.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to bring his compatriot to Old Trafford in January but they are likely to go back in for him again at the next opportunity.
