Rangers star Morelos has ‘agreed personal terms’ with Lille and clubs will now try to agree transfer fee

RANGERS striker Alfredo Morelos has agreed personal terms with French side Lille, according to reports.

The Ligue 1 club look set to sell star forward Victor Osimhen to Napoli this summer for an initial fee of £55million.

Rangers striker Alfredo morelos is said to have agreed personal terms with French side Lille.

And French outlet RMC Sport say Lille sporting director Gerard Lopez has identified Morelos as the perfect replacement.

Lopez has reportedly already met with the Colombian, who is understood to be keen on the move.

Negotiations will now commence between the two clubs as they seek an agreement on the transfer fee.

Lille have also signed 35-year-old Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz as they look to bolster their front line for next season.

Morelos has been linked with Sevilla and Lazio as well as Premier League clubs Leicester City and West Ham United in recent months.

Rangers are thought to be open to letting the 24-year-old go, having already begun the search for his replacement.

Morelos moved to Scotland in 2017 from Finnish side HJK Helsinki for around £1million and has a contract with Rangers until 2023.

Since then he has scored 77 goals in 137 appearances for the Glasgow outfit.

That includes 29 goals in 46 matches before the Scottish Premiership season was cancelled.

He is also known for his occasional bouts of ill-discipline, which have seen him sent off seven times during his time at Ibrox.

Morelos could appear one last time for Rangers next month as Steven Gerrard’s side look to overturn a 3-1 first leg deficit in their Europa League last-16 clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
