RADICAL plans set to be put forward by the Premier League for next season have emerged with Liverpool given the title, a 22-team league and the EFL Cup axed
Top-flight fixtures have been postponed until April 4 at the earliest but reports suggest the current campaign could be pushed much further, likely June or July.

Liverpool and Leeds have reason to be optimistic ahead of Thursday’s PL meeting
The Premier League are now set to meet on Thursday – and we can reveal what is expected to happen.
According to the Telegraph, there is little opposition to handing Liverpool the Premier League title.
Some reports claim clubs are fighting to deem the 2019-20 season null and void.
But the Premier League are set to essentially end the season now and hand the Reds their first title in 30 years.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently 25 points clear at the top of the table, needing a maximum of two wins to seal it.
At the other end of the table, NO teams would be relegated – saving Norwich, Aston Villa and Bournemouth.
However, Leeds fans can rest easy in the knowledge they WILL finally be promoted – along with West Brom – under the proposed plan.
Those in the playoff spots will not be afforded the chance to compete for promotion.
That would mean the Premier League would have its first 22-team league for the first time since 1994-95.
The bad news on that front is that FIVE teams could well face the drop at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
For next season, the increase in Premier League games – going from 38 games to 42 – will mean the EFL Cup would need to be scrapped.
Elsewhere, bosses will need to decide how the remaining Champions League and Europa League qualification spots would be handed out.
As things stand, the race for Europe is wide open.
Serie A bosses have proposed mini-playoff tournaments to decide key positions in the league and the Premier League could be tempted to follow suit.
