Rudiger, 27, has been axed from the last two matchday squads and was an unused substitute in the opening day win over Brighton.
According to the Daily Mail, Rudiger’s availability has sparked interest from PSG, who have approached Chelsea with a loan deal.
It also includes the option to make it permanent at the end of the season.
But Lampard wants to cash in during this transfer window and is willing to bide his time before making a final decision.
Rudiger has entered the final two years of his Chelsea contract.
The former Stuttgart star joined Chelsea from Roma in 2017 for £30million.
Rudiger has played 115 times for the Blues, winning the 2018 FA Cup and 2019 Europa League.
But with five centre-backs now at the club, Lampard is keen to trim his squad.
Chelsea’s summer splurge has topped £220million and means Lampard wants to balance the books.
Rudiger, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley and Kepa Arrizabalaga are all thought to be up for sale.
