PFA Young Player of the Year shortlist revealed with Man Utd stars Rashford and Greenwood joining Alexander-Arnold

MANCHESTER UNITED duo Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have both being nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

But the two forwards could be beaten to the prize by Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The title winner is also nominated for the main award, but Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne is the favourite to bag that.

That should see Alexander-Arnold scoop the Young Player trophy.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and club-mate Mason Mount and Arsenal teenager Bukayo Saka complete the shortlist.

The winners will be announced via the PFA’s social media channels on Tuesday evening.

PFA bosses delayed their usual April announcement during the coronavirus shutdown.

In the main Player of the year category, De Bruyne and Jordan Henderson are the top contenders for the final act of last season.

And all six players on the shortlist are from either Anfield or the Etihad.

Liverpool’s title romp is rewarded with Henderson joined in the elite list by Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane.
