Spanish press is reporting that Barcelona are becoming increasingly ‘limited’ with their attacking options
Dembele complained of pain in his right leg. The club said the problem was prompted by muscle fatigue.
The 22-year-old French forward was in the final stages of his recovery from the injury that has kept him sidelined since November.
He had just recently rejoined his teammates in full practices. Barcelona have not revealed when he is expected to be back in action.
Catalans boss Quique Setien has been eagerly awaiting Dembele’s return as striker Luis Suarez has been out injured since the beginning of the year.
The Uruguayan is not expected to be back until the latter stages of the season.

And according to Spanish news-site Sport, Setien will now be forced to blood youngsters into the squad from the B team.
Ten players from the second string took part in training, while four youth players were also involved.
Fans were left disappointed as the club did not make any major signings before the European transfer window closed last Friday.
The Spaniards were linked with a sensational swoop for Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and they also reportedly made an £85m bid for Everton striker Richarlison.
Beijing Goan attacker Cedric Bakambu and Ajax’s former Southampton playmaker Dusan Tadic were two other names linked with a switch to the Bernabeu.
But nothing on any of these deals materialised.
Barcelona are second in LaLiga, three points behind fierce rivals Real Madrid and will once again be reliant on their superstar Lionel Messi.
Their next game is on Sunday away at Real Betis.
