DOZY Norwich were shoved further through the relegation trapdoor after defeat to Southampton.
Goals from Danny Ings, Stuart Armstrong and Nathan Redmond ensured a comfortable win for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side, who are now 10 points clear of the relegation places.

Southampton should have scored more as the Canaries defence were simply woeful.
Norwich had even gone to the lengths of buying out a whole hotel next to Carrow Road – but there wasn’t much of a chance of celebrations given the dismal result.
Ironically, Norwich had started brightly as Kenny McLean shot wide after being teed up by Emiliano Buendia.
But Southampton soon found their rhythm as Tim Krul was kept the busier of the two keepers.
Krul was just a bystander as Ings hit the bar after being set up by Jack Stephens on 33 minutes.
Yet there was nothing wrong with Ings’ finishing four minutes after the restart as he put Saints 1-0 up.
Armstrong was the provider as he knocked the ball through to Ings, who was in acres of space, and he curled the ball past Krul.
Norwich conceded a second five minutes later as Armstrong doubled Saints’ advantage.
Again the Canaries defence were caught napping as Armstrong cut inside and unleashed a low shot that went through Timm Klose’s legs and into the bottom corner.
Max Aarons also blocked James Ward-Prowse’s on the line before Redmond added a third 11 minutes from full time.
Buendia lost possession and a sweeping counter attack was finished when Redmond jinked the ball past Ben Godfrey before slotting past Krul on 79 minutes.
It leaves Norwich with a mountain to climb if they are to beat the drop in their remaining eight fixtures.
