NIGEL PEARSON has broken his silence after his shock sacking at Watford.
With two games of the season to go and the Hornets involved in a desperate battle to stay in the Premier League, the club’s owners swung the axe.

Now Pearson has posted on Twitter about losing his job.
The 56-year-old wrote: “I’ve been overwhelmed by the well-wishes I’ve received from Watford supporters and the football community.
“Thank you all for your kind messages.
“Although not able to finish the task I was brought in to achieve, I wish Watford all the best for their final two games.
“Cheers, Nige.”

SunSport reported at the weekend how club chiefs were furious at the team’s 3-1 loss to West Ham on Friday.
And they have acted by axing Pearson just eight months after appointing him.
SunSport understands the decision has not gone down well with the Hornets squad, who were informed of the news before training this afternoon.
His assistant Craig Shakespeare has also been sacked.
Hayden Mullins and Graham Stack will take charge for final two games of the campaign.
And SunSport exclusively revealed how Mullins will use skipper Troy Deeney to pull the squad together as he fights to save them from the drop.
Deeney and other stars were furious on Sunday when they turned up for training to discover boss Nigel Pearson had been sacked with two Premier League games to go.
It is understood Mullins called a meeting with the 32-year-old on Sunday and told him how key he was to keeping the club up — asking him to be Watford’s Mr Motivator for the crunch pair of games.
However, it is understood Watford are close to naming a permanent replacement.
Pearson only took charge of the club in December – staggeringly Watford’s third manager of the season.
The Vicarage Road outfit were bottom of the league but he has led them rise up the table before a miserable run of results dragged them right back into trouble.
The defeat against fellow strugglers West Ham helped the Hammers open up a three-point margin over the Hornets.
The clash was a crunch one for Pearson and his side in their fight for survival with their final two games coming against Manchester City at home and an away trip to Arsenal.
Watford sit three points above Bournemouth and Aston Villa in the drop zone.
