RYAN FRASER became Newcastle’s second signing of the day after joining former Bournemouth team-mate Callum Wilson through the door.

The Scottish winger, 26, said: “I’m absolutely buzzing for it.
“I came down to see the place the other day and it was all just good things; the manager, the place, the fans, the messages I’ve been getting.
“It was just a no-brainer, really, to play in such a big stadium with such passionate fans, and being back up in the north again is big as well.
“So I’m really looking forward to it and I just can’t wait to show everyone what I can do, help the team and help us get back to where we belong.”
Fraser’s Newcastle move comes just hours after England striker Wilson completed his £20m switch from Bournemouth this morning, landing the No. 9 shirt at the expense of £40m flop Joelinton.
Wilson, 28, has signed a four-year deal and is in line to make his debut on Saturday in the Prem opener at West Ham.
He arrived in the North East in owner Mike Ashley’s helicopter yesterday and finished his medical at St. James’ park earlier this morning.
Wilson said: “From the minute I knew that Newcastle were interested, it was definitely something that appealed to me.

“Along the years, they’ve had great strikers so if I can emulate half of what they’ve done, I’d like to attempt that.”
Toon boss Steve Bruce added: “Callum is somebody I’ve admired for a long time and I’m delighted to get him.
“He has done fantastically well at Bournemouth and was deservedly playing centre forward for England less than two years ago.
“The club has worked ever so hard to get Callum here and we have beaten off competition from a number of clubs. I’m grateful the club has made it happen.”
After amassing 12 in 2018/19, ex-Bournemouth duo Fraser and Wilson hold the record for most Prem goal contributions in a 38-game season.

And Bruce cannot wait to see them light up St. James’ Park.
He said: “We have held off big competition to get the signatures, and that says a lot about what this club has to offer.
“Ryan has wonderful chemistry on the pitch with Callum, which excites me, and I hope it excites our supporters ahead of the new season.”
A £15m deal for Norwich’s Jamal Lewis has also been agreed, with the left-back expected to complete his medical in the next 48 hours.
Arsenal defender Rob Holding also looks set to sign on loan before the weekend.
