COMEBACK COMPLETE
The turnaround was complete, and so is this thread.
PSG were not able to stretch their lead at the top and it remains at five points.
We’ll leave you with Monaco and their delight at a memorable night in the south of France.

A busy one at the Stade Louis-II
MOVING ON
Attention now turns to the Champions League for PSG and it doesn’t get any easier.
They have already lost twice from their opening three games and can’t afford to lose at home to Leipzig on Tuesday night.
Leipzig turned round an early deficit and turned it round to win 2-1 in Germany, as PSG lost Gueye and Kimpembe to red cards.
Throwing away leads and getting red cards, eh…..
NAIL BITING
The Monaco admin clearly expected more of a fight from PSG….
WHAT A GAME!
Wow, I know I said we should expect better from Monaco in that second half but nobody could’ve seen that coming!
PSG overwhelmingly dominated the first half and took the lead through Mbappe who got in behind the Monaco backline and fired home.
He then grabbed his and PSG’s second from the penalty spot shortly after.
Moise Kean had a goal ruled out by VAR and then hit the bar before Mbappe found the net again, only for it too to be ruled out by VAR.
It seemed a matter of how many for PSG at half time as Monaco looked down and out.
All credit goes to Niko Kovac for making a couple of switches as half time as he brought on Cesc Fabregas and pushed Kevin Volland further forward.
Volland prodded into an empty net on two occasions with an aggregate distance of around six yards.
Then the moment that mattered as Diallo slipped in possession and Volland nicked it off him before Diallo brought him down for a penalty.
Fabregas – who completely changed the game – smashed into the top corner to complete the remarkable turnaround.
PEEEEEEEEEEEP!! FULL TIME IN A DRAMATIC NIGHT IN MONACO!!!

FAB-ULOUS

88. Kimpembe joins him as he stretches to bring down Martins who was running in behind.
He was lucky it was so close to the halfway line as Martins looked as though he was through.
MONACO 3 PSG 2
87. Fabregas goes into the book for a cynical trip in the middle of the park.
Not sure he’ll care too much if things stay as they are.
MONACO 3 PSG 2
Diallo dallies on the ball inside his own defensive third. Volland pounces on a slip and breaks into the box.
Despite being wide of the goal, he is dragged back by Diallo not once, but twice. Volland hits the deck and Diallo is off.
Fabregas – who has singlehandedly changed the complexion of this whole game – runs up, takes a stutter, before finding the top left hand corner of Navas’ net.
Unbelievable turnaround.
HE SCORES!!!! GOOOOOAAAALL MONACO!! THE COMEBACK IS COMPLETE!!!!!
DIALLO IS SENT OFF! A RED CARD FOR THE PSG DEFENDER!
IT WILL BE FABREGAS TO TAKE!
THE REF IS AWAY FOR A QUICK LOOK AT THE MONITOR FOR A POTENTIAL RED CARD

81. Fabregas and Volland again. The Spaniard is in acres of room ten yards out but skews his left footed shot.
It falls kindly at the feet of Volland five yards out but he can’t sort his feet out in time to knock it home.
MONACO 2 PSG 2
80. Pablo Sarabia follows a pass into the Monaco box and Moise Kean’s touch lays it on a plate for him.
But the midfielder snatches at the shot from 12 yards out and Mannone gathers comfortably.
MONACO 2 PSG 2
78. Martins and Fabregas link up well again and Martins hits the deck looking for a penalty.
Quite optimistic as there was nobody within three yards of him as he went down.
MONACO 2 PSG 2
75. Huge chance for Monaco!
A goalmouth scramble as Volland and Fabregas fight for the ball with the PSG defence.
It breaks for Fabregas four yards out but he fires over.
Replays show he would have been offside but there was plenty of chances leading up to that final strike.
MONACO 2 PSG 2
69. Triple sub for PSG and there’ll be no hat-trick for Mbappe as he, Kurzawa and Danilo Pereira make way.
Kays Ruiz-Atil, Mitchel Bakker and Leandro Pareded enter the fray.
THE GOAL THAT STARTED IT ALL OFF TONIGHT
